Courte biographie
Luis Miguel Dominguín (1926-1996) était un 'torero' (matador) espagnol légendaire des années 1940 et 1950. Figure charismatique et extravagante, il était célèbre tant dans l'arène que dans la 'jet-set'. Son lien avec l'avant-garde réside dans son amitié étroite avec Pablo Picasso, qui était fasciné par la corrida (tauromachie). Leur amitié et la rivalité de Dominguín avec Antonio Ordoñez ont été décrites par Ernest Hemingway dans 'L'Été dangereux'.
