Ganzo, Robert est né le 22 août 1898 à Casablanca, Maroc. Il a étudié à Paris et est devenu une figure marquante de la poésie française d'après-guerre. Bien qu'il n'ait pas été un membre officiel, son œuvre présente des influences Surréalistes, caractérisée par une fascination pour l'inconscient, les rêves et une mythologie très personnelle. Il a collaboré avec de nombreux artistes visuels. Sa poésie est appréciée pour son rythme et sa capacité à explorer la frontière entre le visible et l'invisible. Son héritage est celui d'un moderniste indépendant.
