Consuelo de Acevedo (1927-1977) was a Colombian-French poet who settled in Paris. She became an active member of the post-war Surrealist group led by André Breton. Her work appeared in the movement's journals, such as 'Le Surréalisme même' and 'L'Archibras'. Her poetry is imbued with the surrealist spirit, focusing on the oneiric, the passionate, and a mythical imagery of nature and love. She remained faithful to surrealist principles until the group's dissolution.
