Its most famous and monumental achievement was the publication of the first French translation (by Auguste Morel, Valery Larbaud, and Stuart Gilbert) of James Joyce's 'Ulysses' in 1929. They also published other important modern texts and works linked to Surrealism and the 'École de Paris'.
