Georges de Falaize (1905-1973) was a French writer and poet, primarily active in the mid-20th century. He was part of the Parisian literary world and published poetry and prose. His work is generally separate from the major, organized avant-garde movements, but he maintained friendly relations with many artists and writers, including Jean Cocteau.
Connection to the Book World
As a poet in Paris, his texts were sometimes issued in bibliophile editions. A well-known example is his collaboration with Jean Cocteau for 'Appogiatures' (1953), for which Cocteau provided the lithographs, published by Éditions du Rocher.
