Les Pages Libres de La Main à Plume was founded in 1941 in Paris, France. It was a Surrealist resistance group and a clandestine publication during the occupation. The group, led by Christian Dotremont and other young Surrealists, continued the literary and political resistance of Surrealism. The publications were hand-made, illustrated texts that kept the spirit of the avant-garde alive during the war.
